Dream Station

Okay! Since I'm super bored right now, I'm gonna blog on what I've been up to recently every Saturday. *DRUMROLL* DANCE AND VOCAL FOUNDATION CLASSES AT DREAM STATION. (It was featured in my previous post as the only "life" I actually had...) So basically I started classes on the 16 of Febuary, and my batch were the pioneers of the foundation programme. And prior to that, I had almost no dance experience (okay la, ammature kpop dancing la...) and I also damaged my vocal chords due to wrong singing techniques used when I tried to  hit that dolphin note in Leona Lweis' Yesterday (act smart la... want to be smart alec la==)
So my Vocal coaches are Shawn/Sean (I have no idea how to spell his name, but you get the way it's pronounced, yeah...) and Gynette (this super pretty lady with super powerful voice)~ And basically up to date, they both taught us 5 different techniques to sort of like... Enhance our voices and stuff. But I'm even more thankful because both of them introduced us some simple exercises that we can all do at home while doing homework and etc, and at the same time, those exercises helped my relax my throat and diaphragm muscles and allow me to singing without straining my voice and further damaging my vocal chords (or at least that's what I feel). Also because of the warm ups the coaches conduct, I was able to "rediscover" my vocal range after what seemed like ages after I totally gave up on my voice. But sadly, I can no longer sing those not so high notes normal people can sing using chest voice.. Instead I have to use head voice cos I'm screwed... LOL.
MOVING ON!!
As for dance, my instructors are Darren Toh and the ever so beautiful Cherie Wee! As I've pointed out earlier, I have had no dance experience besides amateurish Kpop I used to do with my friends.. So this was really an eye opener for me because I used to think that dance was just... dance. Like, you just see, then you copy and yeah, that's dance. What I never knew was behind those super cool dances were combinations of basic techniques and somewhat cool or complicated body movement. And those 2 essentials added together = POW! one hot dance move that makes everyone crazy. I admit my dance used to look super ammature (even though I did dance for some school event. Don't know how my group got chosen... LOL), but now after learning some basic dance techniques, I am able to catch the dance moves more easily from those MVs and do it without looking so... Stupid? yeah... Obviously after every class I ache like mad. Sometimes at my thighs, or my abs (fats) or my waist ( I have no idea what that muscle is called==) but at the end of the day, I felt like besides those horrible aches that even salon pas couldn't get rid of, I also brought home new techniques and knowledge on dance that are very very useful! Also, because of the dance lessons, I can eat like mad at least once a week without having to watch out so much on my diet cos... HEY! I know that every Saturday I'm gonna have fun sweating it out learning something new^^ Okay la, also because of the PT session they never fail to have after every dance session that you can also do at home while playing your favourite music or the PORORO and TEEN TITANS theme song!
PS: I can finally do at least 10 decent push ups now thanks to Darren~ HAHAHA!

If I'm not wrong, Dream Station might be opening another foundation class ( not too soon maybe, IDK)... But when they do, make sure you guys sign up and join! I swear it is really worth the money and your time! And you meet awesome friends there too! Initially I was contemplating on whether or not to join, but really, I totally do not regret signing up for classes with them and I'll definitely continue lessons with them even after my foundation lessons end!
That's about it^^ And in no way was I forced or asked to do this bu=y any of the Dream Station staff. I just felt like doing it... Hahaha! Have a great week ahead everyone!
Oh yes... It's Monday tomorrow. Can anyone else feel the Monday blues already?:(
